Flower honey is produced by the Soukas family on the slopes of Helmos. Produced from the nectar of flowers and contain pollen from many plants in varying proportions. Their physicochemical and therapeutic properties, as well as their colour, vary according to the nectar of the bee carrying plants in the hive.
Pine honey is produced by the Soukas family in northern Evia. It constitutes 65% of the total honey production in Greece and comes from the honey secretions of the insect Marchalina hellenica, when it parasitizes in Aleppo and Pinus brutia.
