Creamy rice pudding

Rice pudding

Ingredients:
800ml water
100gr medium grain rice
1 stick cinnamon
1l fresh milk, full-fat
180gr granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
2 teaspoons corn starch
1 pinch salt


Method:

  1. Add the water, rice, cinnamon in a pot and simmer over medium heat for 25 minutes.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. Place a pot over medium heat. Add 700ml of the milk, the sugar and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the rest of the milk, the vanilla powder and the corn starch in a bowl, and stir.
  5. Add the rice, the salt and the corn starch mixture in the pot, and stir for 4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  6. Remove the cinnamon stick and divide the mixture into small bowls.
  7. Consume your rice pudding hot or cold (from the refrigerator) adding cinnamon on the top.
